Spinal Decompression

Spinal Decompression is the non-surgical answer for disc related back pain.

SPINAL DECOMPRESSION PACKAGE │ $2500/20 VISITS

Our FDA-approved DRX9000® Lumbar True Spinal Decompression Machine® is designed to relieve patients suffering from chronic back pain or neck pain by creating space between the vertebrae and damaged spinal discs, helping them to heal. Decompression is the only treatment most effective for severe cases of sciatica, herniation, degeneration, arthritis, stenosis and pressure on the nerve root.

The Spinal Decompression technology creates a negative pressure or a vacuum inside the disc, allowing the herniated and/or bulging disc to go back into a normal position. This also causes the flow of blood and nutrients back into the disc, which allows the body's natural fibroblastic response to heal the injury and re-hydrate the disc.

Decompression is achieved by using a specific combination of spinal positioning and varying the degree and intensity of force. The key to producing this decompression is the gentle pull that is created by a logarithmic curve. When distractive forces are generated on a logarithmic curve the typical proprioceptor response is avoided. Avoiding this response allows decompression to occur at the targeted area.

While traction and inversion tables can reduce intradiscal pressure (IDP) from +90 to +30 mmHg, Spinal Decompression is clinically proven to reduce intradiscal pressure between -150 to -200 mmHg.

Decompression is not recommended for those with recent spinal fractures, surgical fusion or metallic hardware, surgically repaired aneurysms, infection of the spine, and/or moderate to severe osteoporosis.

Are you a candidate for spinal decompression treatment?

➣ Pain due to herniated and bulging lumbar discs more than 4 weeks old
➣ Recurrent pain from a failed back surgery more than 6 months old
➣ Persistent pain from degenerated disc not responding to 4 weeks of therapy
➣ Suffer from sciatica, degenerative disc disease or facet syndrome

FAQ

How long does it take to see results?

During the first few sessions, you will begin to feel a reduction in pain with pressure on your compressed nerve relieved as your spine is in the decompressed state. Typically, significant improvement is obtained by the second week of treatment.

What can I expect during treatment?

During each treatment session, you will be secured into position by an upper and lower body harness on a heavily padded bed. From there, you can just relax for the next 20-25 minutes. The treatment motion is computer controlled to provide a gentle and painless decompression of the injured spinal discs. Following your session on the DRX9000®, is 15-20 minutes of stimulation and heat.

How long is a typical treatment session?

Each treatment session lasts about 30-45 minutes. The DRX9000® Lumbar True Spinal Decompression Machine® takes about 20-25 minutes, followed by 15-20 minutes of stimulation and heat.

Are there any side effects?

Some patients may experience light side effects with this type of therapy, including mild muscular soreness during treatment.

How long does it take to complete a full spinal decompression treatment?

- WEEKS 1 + 2: 3x/week, 30-45 minute treatment sessions
- WEEKS 3 + 4: 3x/week, 30-45 minute treatment sessions
- WEEKS 5 + 6: 2x/week, 30-45 minute treatment sessions

Is non-surgical spinal decompression treatment successful?

The company behind the DRX9000® Lumbar True Spinal Decompression Machine®, Excite Medical, states that nearly 9 out of 10 patients who quality for treatment with their technology will get relief. Additionally, research conducted by physicians associated with Stanford, Johns Hopkins University, University of California San Francisco and the Mayo Clinic, have demonstrated that the DRX® machine is more than 88% effective in treating patients with chronic lower back pain.
